Vindlance is a global freelancer marketplace. When we say "Vindlance", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean the Vindlance platform accessible at vindlance.com.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information — name, email address, and password when you register
• Profile information — for freelancers: domain, city, tagline, bio, rates, skills, languages, profile photo, and portfolio images
• Booking information — booking dates, times, notes, and payment status
• Messages — conversations between clients and freelancers on the platform
• Reviews — ratings and written reviews submitted after completed sessions
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card details
• Usage data — pages visited, search queries, and general platform activity

3. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account
• To display your profile to potential clients
• To process bookings and payments
• To send booking confirmations, review requests, and platform notifications
• To improve the platform and user experience
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only in the following circumstances:

• With other users — your public profile (name, photo, domain, city, tagline, rates, reviews) is visible to all platform visitors. Your email is only shared with clients who book you.
• With Stripe — payment details are handled by Stripe under their own privacy policy.
• With Supabase — our database and authentication provider stores your data securely.
• With Resend — our email delivery provider sends transactional emails on our behalf.
• With authorities — if required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or marketing companies.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase's secure servers. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Despite our best efforts, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

6. Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect your ability to use the platform.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete data via your profile settings
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data
• Portability — request your data in a portable format
• Objection — object to certain types of data processing

8. Data Retention
